Hohe Tauern National Park

At 3,798m the Grossglockner is not only the highest mountain in Austria, it also counts among the highest peaks in the Alps. The mnountain is one of the "must do" climbs for mountaineers and anyone with a little experience can climb the mountain via the "ordinary route". Salzburg's highest mountain offers enticing views of the 3000 m high alpine world. Krimml Falls

The Krimml Falls attract hordes of visitors in the summer. At a combined height of 380m the waterfalls are the highest in Europe meaning that you can ascend for 1 1/2 hours with spectacular views of the wonderful pine forrest setting at every turn.
